Summer Break 2018 - Week 3

This is the first week that we didn't have a camp so on weeks like this I'm trying to follow some sort of routine.
Make it monday, take a trip tuesday, wet and wild wednesday, thinking thursday, and fun friday.

Make it Monday- we ran a few errands in the morning and got our grocery delivery.  Then in the afternoon we started a 550 piece puzzle.  The kids were reluctant at first but have really been enjoying working on it all week.

Take a trip Tuesday- we took Kacy to get groomed early and picked up McDonald's breakfast.  Then we headed over to a friends for a play date until we had to pick up Kacy.  Then the kids had their 6 year doctor appointment.  Noah is 4ft tall 86% and 47 lbs 54%, K is 3'10.5" 67% and 45lbs 47%.

Wet and wild Wednesday - we took a trip with friends to the new splash park in Lee's summit!  I took Kacy with us and we all had a great time.

Thinking Thursday - we had to stay home and get some cleaning done.  As part of thinking thursday we had reading time, worked on our first grade workbooks and finished the puzzle we started earlier this week.  Noah helped a lot with cleaning to earn a good behavior note from me for his taekwondo promotion coming up.

Fun Friday -  Anything goes on Fridays.  We went to Michaels to make slime and we went to the library to watch "Peanut Butter Hamster" and check out new books!  Last but not least we had family movie night.  Watched The Greatest Showman and had popcorn.

Summer Break 2018 - Week 2

The kids were at zoo camp this week.  They did so much at camp.  They got to pet lots of animals including a millipede, snake, sting rays, and chinchilla.  They rode the train, tram, and carousel.  They saw the bird show and the sea lion show.  They played water games and did arts and crafts.  And of course, they learned a ton about animals and toured the entire zoo.  They cried on the way home on Friday because they were going to miss their friends they had made.

Summer Break 2018 - Week 1

Kicked off the summer with memorial weekend at Jason's parents.  Enjoyed pool time and relaxing.  Then the kids enjoyed "we do" camp at Lee's summit west hosted by the robotics team. They built Lego projects and did fun crafts.  They really enjoyed it.  We had a garage sale thurs, fri, and sat.  The kids were busy with tball in the evenings.  Saturday we went to a birthday party and then my dad took the kids for a sleepover.  They went to Lee's summit downtown days and had a blast.

Easter

We dyed eggs for the first time and had a awesome easter bunny this year.  She does a lot of work and the kids are always so excited about their baskets and egg hunt.

Kids First Spring Break

We had so much fun on spring break.  I probably over filled our schedule but the kids loved every minute.  I was tired by the end.  We ate at Chick-fil-A and had a play date at a friends, did a slime craft at Michaels, went to skyzone, the zoo and Lego land!

25 Days of Christmas - Day 23 (2017)

Today has been a day of joy and perfect family memories. A day dreams are made of and when I am old today will be a day to think of and remember how wonderful my life was.

We started with breakfast at Panera and a little last minute shopping for presents for the dogs.  Then we built a gingerbread cottage which the kids quickly destroyed and ate!  Played video games which was Noah's choice of activity.  Had early dinner which consisted of sausage and cheese and other little snacks.  I used to have this when I was kid and it was fun to share the tradition.  Then we did a shopkins craft that was Kahlan's choice of activity and it was the biggest fail ever.  My go with the flow little girl took it in stride and said that's OK it was actually kinda funny.  An absolutely wonderful day with my little family.

25 Days of Christmas - Day 22 (2017)

Augustin and Amelia's birthday!  They turned 7 which I just can not believe.  We went to main event and out to dinner to celebrate.
