Post Christmas Organization

Once Christmas was over we realized we had way too many toys and no place to put them.  So we made a trip to ikea and completely overhauled the play room and got a unit for our living room to keep toys off the floor.  I'm so excited about how our playroom turned out.  The kids play in there so much more now!

The kids art supplies and coloring book are in the bins and below is a dress up station.

Really love this reading corner.  The pillow is stuffed animal storage!

Eventually we plan on hanging a tv above this one and routing it into the closet to hold a dvd player.  Also we will hang a mirror on the door for the dress up area.

This holds so many toys and the kids can't reach the top level so we can put things there we dont want them to get!

25 Days of Christmas - Christmas

Ill keep this one short so I can keep enjoying the day with my family.  The kids really enjoyed Christmas this year.  Santa got them a train set, books and lots of art supplies.  They have been playing trains all day so I think it was a hit.  Merry Christmas everyone! 

25 Days of Christmas - Day 24

It's Christmas Eve!  We always go over to my Sister in law's house for breakfast for dinner.  It's always a fun time hanging out with family.  Noah was a very reluctant picture taker today!

25 Days of Christmas - Day 23

Christmas eve eve!  Today we went to Union Station which is just really magical this time of year.  We will definitely be taking the kids every year.  There is just so much to do and see there and we didn't even get to do it all.  The kids loved the giant christmas tree, sitting in santas sleigh, all of the trains, lunch looking over everything, science city, mailing letters to santa, and a chocolate from Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory to end the afternoon. 

We also have a tradition of our christmas eve eve box.  I filled it at the beginning of December and its been under the tree waiting to be opened.  We opened it when we got home from union station.  This year there was a Curious George Christmas movie, Little Blue Truck Christmas book, and hot cocoa.  The kids loved the movie and we read the book 6 times!

25 Days of Christmas - Day 22

Today we toured a preschool which I loved so much!  Then we watched frozen because K had been wanting to.  The kids watched the whole movie which is very rare still.  We did a bunch of wrapping.  I would love to say we are done but we still have a little bit left.  I cant believe how fast December has gone.  Its almost Christmas!

25 Days of Christmas - Day 21

Today we had fun building a gingerbread house.  The kids were able to help put on lots of the pieces.  Im ashamed to say I did the icing work. ;)  I think it turned out ok though.

We also went over to my niece and nephew's birthday party.  They turn 4 tomorrow!  I really cant believe they are 4 already.  They are such sweet kids.  Im glad mine have them to look up to. 

25 Days of Christmas - Day 20

Today J and I did a ton of wrapping.  We got a lot done but have a bit more to do.  The kids were so excited to see presents under the tree.
