25 Days of Christmas 2020 - Day 3

Kris decided to host a garage sale today.  Interesting side hussle he has going on here.  He brought the kids 2 "guys" in the sale too.  The kids collect these and were very excited!

The kids pick an ornament each year and this year they are very into the Mandalorian and both wanted "baby yoda" ornaments.  I couldnt find them affordably so I bought figurines and turned them into ornaments.  I gave them to the kids today and they loved them!

25 Days of Christmas 2020 - Day 2

Kris decided to play some video games and have a snack after he got back from the north pole!

We also gave the kids their Christmas jammies for this year!

I love Christmas so much!  Trying to make the best of the holiday season even though 2020 has been the worst!

25 Days of Christmas 2020 - Day 1

We got an elf this year and today he had a welcome letter.  I never wanted an elf but apparently 2020 had different plans.  The kids named him Chris or Kris.  There is still debate about the spelling.  There was also drama with the fact he has tags.  Maybe his clothes were inside out?  Maybe its like a luggage tag or passport.  This is yet to be determined.  One thing we definitely decided is that mom and dad are not moving the elf every night because we are tooooo tired so there must be some Christmas magic at play here.  ;) 

The kids also got their advent calendars.  K got slime and Noah got science experiments.  J and I are sharing a beer advent calendar this year.  Let the fun begin!

The Kids Turn 8 - A Quarantine Birthday!

Noah and Kahlan celebrated their 8th birthday during the stay at home order for Covid-19.  It was not at all what we had planned.  We were supposed to be on an amazing cruise.  We made the best of the hand we were dealt.  We had donuts delivered for breakfast, they wore birthday shirts, they opened presents, we had an awesome yard sign, friends and family celebrated them with a fantastic parade, and we got take out for dinner.  They got lots of board games, books, art supplies, and video games to hopefully keep them entertained for awhile!  It was as successful as a birthday while stuck at home and not able to be with your friends when you were supposed to be on a cruise can be! 

Spring Break 2020 - The beginning of Corona Quarantine

Well my blog app is finally up and working so I decided to get to sharing again.  We had a very nice spring break but it was the beginning of our current situation where we are stating at home to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The weather was wonderful and we did so many activities at home.  Normally we would be going out to play places but it was still fun.
