25 Days of Christmas - Day 23 (2017)

Today has been a day of joy and perfect family memories. A day dreams are made of and when I am old today will be a day to think of and remember how wonderful my life was. 

We started with breakfast at Panera and a little last minute shopping for presents for the dogs.  Then we built a gingerbread cottage which the kids quickly destroyed and ate!  Played video games which was Noah's choice of activity.  Had early dinner which consisted of sausage and cheese and other little snacks.  I used to have this when I was kid and it was fun to share the tradition.  Then we did a shopkins craft that was Kahlan's choice of activity and it was the biggest fail ever.  My go with the flow little girl took it in stride and said that's OK it was actually kinda funny.  An absolutely wonderful day with my little family. 

25 Days of Christmas - Day 22 (2017)

Augustin and Amelia's birthday!  They turned 7 which I just can not believe.  We went to main event and out to dinner to celebrate.

25 Days of Christmas - Day 21 (2017)

Toddy was the kids first day on break and we started off with dentist appointments.  Still no cavities!  Then when we got home and we made Christmas scented Play dough!  The base is 2 ingredients cornstarch and lotion then I split it into 4 parts and made sugar cookie, gingerbread, peppermint, and cinnamon spice scents.  Hot cocoa would have been an easy and fun one and since I didn't love the gingerbread I may do that next year instead. 

Sugar cookie dough I used almond and vanilla extract.

Peppermint I used essential oil and green food coloring

Cinnamon I used cinnamon and red food coloring.

Gingerbread I used cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg and yellow and red food coloring. 

25 Days of Christmas - Day 20 (2017)

The kids had the last day of school before winter break today.  I think they are looking forward to the break and really need it.  They are obviously so excited for Christmas!  We did a fun glitter ornament craft when they got home.  No mess glitter!

No pictures today but the kids helped wrap the present they bought at their holiday store at school.

Today was fun.  We went to Chipotle for dinner with the kids cousins and then they came over to make Christmas tree cones!

Santa!  Kahlan asked for shopkins and Noah asked for a Nintendo switch game.

I made a hot cocoa bar for us.  The kids had a fun time picking toppings.

25 Days of Christmas - Day 12-14 (2017)

On the 12th I had a meeting in the evening so I left the activity to J.  I asked him to make a Christmas thing out of Legos with the kids.  They made a snowman together.  On the 13th I gave the kids 2 more activity books.  On the 14th we watched the trolls Christmas special.  It was super cute!

25 Days of Christmas - Day 11 (2017)

Today we went to the lights at Deanna Rose.  I really like this way more then the kids I think.  It's just a light show set to music and you tune your radio and sit in your car and watch.

25 days of Christmas - Day 9 (2017)

Transiberian Orchestra!  This is the second time I've been and it is just a fantastic show!  Amazing!  It was the first time for the kids and it was a bit of an over reach for them.  They (especially Noah) are very into rock music and I was really hoping they were ready for something like this but it was too long for them.  They were hungry and after the first hour pretty restless.  Honestly I think they did very well for 5 year olds but just weren't quite ready for it.  Maybe in 3 or 4 years we will try again.  I still think it was a worth while experience because I actually got to do something I've been wanting to do for awhile!!

I also bought the kids each a new outfit for the show but Noah didn't want a picture.  His shirt said rock and roll 4 life.  He looked very handsome.  K was beautiful as always.  

25 Days of Christmas - Day 6,7,8 (2017)

The last few days have been crazy busy with kid activities but we did fit in some Christmas activities.  The kids wrote their letters to santa, did activity books and tonight I made snowman pancakes for dinner, one of our favorite traditions!

25 Days of Christmas - Day 5 (2017)

Tonight we went to Christmas in the park.  Beautiful drive through lights that we go to every year.

25 Days of Christmas - Day 4 (2017)

Easy day because Noah had taekwondo so we did these fun melissa and Doug puffy stickers.  They are reusable so I'll leave them out for the kids to do again.
