Wait, 26 days in the the 25 days of Christmas? Yes we do Christmas with Jason's parents on the 26th so I wanted to share that too! The kids always have a blast with their cousins. They love them so much! This year they even tried a sleepover all in the same room. There were a few hiccups but I think by next year this may be a tradition.
Christmas! Santa brought shopkins and a Nintendo 3ds. J and I redid the kids play room and made K her own art area and got Noah a lego table and legos.
Christmas eve we went to brunch with my dad and Sandee and her family and then came back to open presents. The kids made out so well on their first day of presents including hatchimals which were pretty fun to hatch. Then we headed over to the Kalwei's for our annual breakfast for dinner. Always a great time!
Christmas eve eve! We have a box labeled xmas eve eve. This year it contained all the makings for a movie night. Candy and a new movie. Polar express!
Today is my niece and nephews 6th birthday so we went bowling and to dinner. The kids had so much fun with their cousins! They also tied each other in bowling!
Baking! Thanks Grams for all the love you put into baking because it's definitely been passed onto me and I'm hoping to pass it on to Noah and Kahlan! Kahlan was such a big helper this year. Noah was more interested in the end results! We made cracker toffee or "crack", iced cream cheese lemon cookies and almond sugar cookies. I still plan on making peanut butter blossoms this year too.
After preschool today we decorated some gingerbread cookies. I bought a kit at target and the kids had a lot of fun.
Today I printed off some activities I found on pinterest. I wanted to print more but our printer does not work right. Noah had fun with the connect the dots and k loved coloring.
I gave the kids this Christmas search and find and they were pretty uninterested. Lol.
It was a cold, icy day so we had to stay home. We read books by the fire and drank hot cocoa.
Today we watched Elf, had snowman pancake breakfast for dinner and hot cocoa before bed!
Took the kids to see Deanna Rose lights today. These are very fun because you just drive up, park your car, tune in to the radio station, and watch the show.
Today I took the kids out to finish our Christmas shopping. The kids had the most fun at petco picking out gifts for Buffy and looking at the animals. Then we got chic fil a for lunch and headed home to wrap. The kids were big helpers putting on tape and bows where I told them to. I can't believe how close we are getting to Christmas! No pictures today unfortunately.
Kids Christmas concert! They sang jingle bell rock and did such a good job. They were so happy that Baba and Grandma could see them sing. Noah was really getting into it.
Fun today at a friends house. I brought these christmas foams to play with. Target dollar section!
Santa! Kids were a little shy and not interested in sitting on his lap but they told him what they wanted and smiled for the picture. The Dreamworks experience is really fun. You start with a little intro, this year it was with the Kung Foo Panda characters, and then you play a little ride game on an ipad. Then you go to the next room where you take a ride to the northpole. Once there the kids designed cards and the we went to the next room to see santa. Lots of fun.
Today we did my favorite activity of all, Union Station! We started off with the Christmas show at the planetarium. This is so cute. Christmas music and a fun display on the screen. We then headed over to crown center for lunch then back to Union Station to go to science city. The kids love science city so much and always have such a good time there! Before we left Union Station the kids rode the little Christmas train. The day was full of fun.
Easy easy day. Just put on some favorite Christmas cartoons and relaxed with the kids a bit.
Holiday sticker books! These are pretty fun. I didn't get any pictures of the kids working with them though because I gave them to them during the Chiefs game!
Today we went to a friend's house for our kids to play and I brought an ornament craft I picked up at Target.
