Thanksgiving

So much to be thankful for this year and I had a great time celebrating that today. We sure missed my sister in law, brother in law and my niece and nephews this year though!  It was a very quiet Thanksgiving without them! Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends and family near and far.  I wish I could have spent the day with all the people I love and miss but I hope you all had a wonderful day.

Look at the love!

Holiday Kickoff (early start)

First, I want to talk about what a special time Christmas is for me.  I have the absolute best childhood memories of my Aunts house and all my cousins on christmas eve.  Everyone coming together to celebrate the season and our love for each other.  I remember hugs from so many people but in particular my grandpa.  I remember driving around looking at beautiful christmas lights and waking up christmas morning at 3am with so much excitement I couldnt even contain myself.  I knew when I had children that making sure my kids have these special memories would be very important to me.  So this year we will be doing the 25 days of christmas.  We will have an advent calendar filled with chocolate and a note with the days fun activities.  But before we can get to all of that we had to decorate!  Since Thanksgiving is a little late this year we decided to decorate earlier then normal and did our decorating this last weekend.  When J and I had our first christmas in our house together we started a tradition of listening to christmas music, drinking eggnog, and burning a christmas tree scent candle.  The kids got to join in this year!
